Day 01:- Delhi to Manali {280 kms/8 hrs}
Meal Plan ;-Dinner Only :- On arrival at Delhi railway station and depart to Manali,On the way visit Pandoh dam, sunder nagar, mandi and kullu valley {which is most famous for Kullu Shawls}. Overnight stay at Manali.
Day 02: – Manali-sarchu
MEAL PLAN:- BREAFAST &DINNER :-After fresh up move to sarchu and over night stay at sarchu hotel.
Day 03: Sarchu to Leh
MEAL PLAN :-BREAFAST &DINNER:- After breakfast depart to Leh. “Between Sarchu and Leh lie two spectacular stretches of land – the Gata Loops and the Moray Plains. The 21 Gata Loops are formed by the winding road that climbs up one of the mountains to the Nakila pass. More Plains is a flat, barren stretch of land that lies after Pang. Though very dusty and rough, it is still a welcome break from the atrocious twists and turns of the mountain track” Moray Plains give way to a steep climb to the Tanglang La pass. By this time we were getting a bit acclimatized to the high altitude.
The surroundings change spectacularly as you enter Ladakh. You have the first sighting of the Indus river. Houses begin to appear with small cultivated farms and gardens. and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04 :- Leh town
MEAL PLAN:Breakfast & Dinner Only:- After breakfast leave for Leh Town Sightseeing ” Leh, a high-desert city in the Himalayas, is the capital of the Leh region in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir state. Originally a stop for trading caravans, Lehis now known for its Buddhist sites and nearby trekking areas. Massive 17th-century Leh Palace, modeled on the Dalai Lama’s former home (Tibet’s Potala Palace), overlooks the old town’s bazaar and mazelike lanes.Leh the head quarter of the district is a small town with monasteries and stupas almost at every turn however the two one shouldn’t miss during the stay at Leh is the Shanti Stupa and the Chowkang monastery hidden in a large courtyard behind the main ‘bazaar’.
The primary tourist attraction in Leh is still the 16 th century Leh palace the nine story structure which once used to be the tallest building in the world!
Leh Palace
Built by the kings of Ladakh in 1553 the Leh Palace was once the world’s highest building. The primary attraction within the Leh city, Leh palace now only has the palace prayer room which lives up to the sense of former grandeur of Leh Palace.
Shanti Stupa
Shanti Stupa was built by a Japanese Buddhist organization, known as ‘The Japanese for World Peace’ to commemorate 2500 years of Buddhism and to promote World Peace. Shanti Stupa is located on a hilltop in Changspa very close to the Leh town on the fort road. A white domed structure, Shanti Stupa paints a pretty picture at sunrise and sunset against the colors in the sky.
Tsemo Fort
Tsemo Fort, a structure visible from anywhere in Leh is located on the same hill as the Leh Palace. Believed to have been the earliest royal residence of the Namgyal dynasty Tsemo fort is flanked by temples built in veneration of the guardian deities. With a full aerial view of the town of Leh, Tsemo fort commands a panoramic view of the town. Namgyal Tsemo Gompa is located near the fort.
Day 05:- Leh-Nubra Valley
MEAL PLAN:-Breakfast & Dinner Only:-In the morning drive to Nubra Valley “Located across Khardung La is the charming Nubra Valley. Its original name is believed to be Ldumra meaning “Valley Of Flowers”. Now also known as Orchard Of Ladakh, this beautiful valley is located at a height of 3048 meters, an average altitude of about 10,000 ft (3048 meters) which actually puts it at a lower altitude than even the town of Leh. Diskit is the capital of Nubra valley and is located about 120 kms from Leh. Shyok River confluences with Nubra River (also known as Siachen river)
Nubra Nubra is a tri-armed valley located to the north east of Ladakh valley. Diskit the capital of Nubra is about 150 km north fromLeh town, the capital of Ladakh district, India. Local scholars say that its original name was Ldumra
Day 06:- Nubra- Leh
MEAL PLAN:-Breakfast & Dinner Only:- After breakfast depart to Leh and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 07:-Leh-Pang-Gong(Excursion)-Leh
MEAL PLAN:-Breakfast & Dinner only:- After breakfast at the hotel leave for Pang-Gong lake Sightseeing. ” Pangong Tso, Tibetan for “high grassland lake”, also referred to as Pangong Lake, is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,350 m. It is 134 km long and extends from India to China.” And evening back to the Leh
Day 08:- Leh – Sarchu
MEAL PLAN:-Breakfast & Dinner only :- Early morning transfer to Sarchu .overnight stay at sarchu.
Day 09: sarchu yo Manali
MEAL PLAN:-Breakfast & Dinner only:- After breakfast at the hotel leave to Manali.
Day 10:- Manali to Delhi {280 kms/8 hrs}
